About The Position

This Co-op experience provides participants with a meaningful, relevant work experience as part of their academic studies. In addition to daily responsibilities, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a series of structured activities designed to enhance their learning experience including: Co-Op New Hire Orientation, Senior Leadership Speaker Series, Social & Networking Events, and Presentation Challenges. At the conclusion of this position, co-ops will have increased their knowledge of investing, the mutual fund industry, employee engagement, and a firm understanding of how corporate citizenship works at an asset manager. MFS co-op positions are a 6-month commitment, working Monday – Friday (beginning on Wednesday, January 13th through Friday June 25th, 2027), and work between 35-40 hours. Our program is designed for undergraduate students who are currently enrolled in a co-op program through their college or university and can meet our requirements.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Corporate Social Responsibility, Public Policy, Communications, Marketing or related field
  • Ability to interact with senior executives and community leaders on the company's corporate citizenship strategy
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with corporate citizenship programs, community organizations, and nonprofits groups
  • Commitment to learning, creativity and critical thinking
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, and deadlines
  • Passion and experience either as a volunteer or supporter of charitable causes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft’s Excel, Power Point, Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Director of Corporate Citizenship and the team in the implementation and management of the company's community engagement strategy and action plan.
  • May provide support on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives, along with other cross-departmental projects and tasks.
  • Assist in the creation and documentation of process and procedures that help support the Corp. Citizenship Team.
  • Help manage and update the Corp. Citizenship Resource Page on SharePoint, ensuring content stays relevant and timely.
  • Coordinate logistics for volunteer events (including Global Week of Giving Back and Co-op Volunteer Day), galas and charitable drives.
  • Work with MFS design and communications teams to produce ads and communication for events and opportunities.
  • Perform research on charitable organizations as needed.
  • Assist with the creation of presentations and maintenance of documentation related to MFS' Corporate Citizenship program.

Benefits

  • Hourly Pay Rate: $21.00-$25.00
