About The Position

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Corporate Banking Analyst for its Multinational Banking division. This role involves connecting great people to great opportunities within the banking sector. The analyst will be responsible for building, refining, and interpreting complex financial models, conducting detailed financial analysis and due diligence, and developing high-impact presentation materials. The position requires collaboration with internal stakeholders, prioritization of multiple opportunities, and independent completion of credit and corporate finance analysis. The analyst will also support senior bankers in client coverage, provide strategic input on product suitability, and mentor junior team members. The role may also involve performing other assigned duties and adapting to changing priorities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
2–3 years of relevant experience in corporate banking.
Demonstrated academic or professional exposure to financial analysis and corporate finance concepts.
Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses required within Fifth Third guidelines.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to synthesize financial data and trends.
Strong command of financial modeling and valuation techniques.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Familiarity with financial databases and platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or FactSet.
Ability to obtain and maintain required securities licenses in accordance with company policy.

Experience conducting in-depth credit, accounting, and legal due diligence to assess transaction viability and risk.

Skilled in preparing and delivering compelling pitch materials and market updates tailored to client needs and business objectives.

Responsibilities

Build, refine, and interpret complex financial models to support client recommendations and transaction analysis.
Conduct detailed financial analysis and due diligence with limited supervision.
Develop and deliver high-impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other relevant tools.
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across Credit, Capital Markets, and other business units.
Prioritize and manage multiple high-value opportunities simultaneously.
Independently complete credit and corporate finance analysis, including risk assessment and valuation.
Support Managing Directors and senior bankers in client coverage, including preparation of pitch books and market updates.
Provide strategic input on product suitability and capital markets solutions for clients.
Mentor and guide Analyst I team members, providing feedback and support as needed.
Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to new tasks or shifts in priorities as necessary to support your team’s and the company’s mission.
