At any given time you will work with your internal customer in the sales, finance, credit & pricing team when reviewing transactions.
Requirements
- Are intellectually curious, possess a JD from an accredited law school, called to the Quebec Bar, under the Civil Code of Quebec and 2-3 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Must be fluent in French & English.
- Willingness to learn and work cooperatively with the international legal team.
- An eye for detail without getting lost in the weeds
- Excellent organizational, drafting & oral communication skills
Responsibilities
- Reviews and prepares equipment lease and financing documents in support of our Canadian business.
- Evaluates and negotiates terms of lease and financing contracts; and assures compliance with Federal and Provincial regulations.
- Updates contract terms as necessary to reflect legal requirements or new company policies.
- Performs legal research needed to advise internal client.
