The Corporate Attorney will be required to have strong skills in contract drafting and negotiations and an ability and desire to handle the legal needs of all areas of the company, including compliance, corporate governance, regulatory audits, human resources, insurance, collections & recovery, etc. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for all areas of the organization, requiring the candidate to be well-rounded to identify, assess, and handle all legal issues that might arise. This position will provide assistance and oversight for matters relating to regulatory compliance, audits, vendor management, corporate governance, and similar issues, in coordination with department leaders and WSFS Bank. The attorney will advise business segments on legal issues related to commercial transactions, including commercial loans and leases, new business originations, portfolio administration, customer service, collections, litigation, and credit support activities. Responsibilities also include reviewing and analyzing business practices and proposals for compliance with federal and state laws for all business lines and product offerings, such as B2B contracts, commercial leases and loans, disclosure and other regulatory requirements, contract forms, and servicing and collections practices. The role involves representing the legal department in cross-functional teams and task forces, and serving as the primary liaison to WSFS Bank on various business and legal matters. The attorney will also provide legal and business support to the company’s property insurance subsidiary as needed.
