About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic (A&P/IA). In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, airworthiness, and operational readiness of Kalahari's corporate aircraft. In this highly specialized position, you’ll combine hands-on maintenance expertise with oversight of maintenance programs, vendor partnerships, aircraft records, and operational support activities. Requirements

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of business jet maintenance experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Thorough understanding of FAA regulations, aviation safety standards, company safety programs, and OSHA requirements.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate maintenance records and regulatory documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Citation, Falcon, Legacy, and/or Praetor aircraft.
  • Previous lead or senior-level maintenance experience in a corporate aviation environment.
  • Formal OEM maintenance training on business aircraft platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive experience utilizing CAMP maintenance tracking software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preflight and postflight inspections to ensure aircraft readiness and safety.
  • Catch and launch all scheduled flights.
  • Conduct aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance within certification and operational capabilities.
  • Provide remote maintenance support to flight crews when aircraft are away from base.
  • Coordinate and oversee all third-party maintenance activities.
  • Vet maintenance vendors, obtain quotes, evaluate repair recommendations, and advise on best practices.
  • Serve as Kalahari's maintenance representative during major inspections, repairs, and maintenance events.
  • Review and verify maintenance invoices prior to submission to the Chief Pilot.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready aircraft maintenance records.
  • Manage CAMP maintenance tracking software and maintenance schedules.
  • Perform aircraft database updates, ECU downloads, and related technical recordkeeping.
  • Manage aircraft spare parts inventory and specialized tooling.
  • Clean, stock, and maintain aircraft cabin readiness after every flight.
  • Perform aircraft detailing, deep cleaning, washing, waxing, and brightwork maintenance as required.
  • Coordinate fueling activities and aircraft positioning to support flight operations.
  • Maintain hangar facilities, support equipment, and associated operational assets.
  • Assist with hangar equipment maintenance including tugs, hangar doors, floor-cleaning equipment, and other support systems.
  • Support passenger vehicle management during weather events and operational needs.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.
