About The Position

Enterprise Services is responsible for all operations and asset services supporting various DTCC businesses including The Depository Trust Company (DTC), National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC), Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (FICC) – Government Securities Division (GSD) & Mortgage-Backed Securities Division (MBSD), Wealth Management Services (WMS), Insurance & Retirement Services (I&RS), Solutions Operations - Global Market Entity Identifier (GMEI), and Global Service Bureau (GSB). The Global Business Operations (GBO) mission is to provide the Securities Industry with superior operations processing and client services support in an environment that minimizes risk and cost while maximizing efficiency. Corporate Actions Processing areas announce and process all asset servicing events associated with DTC-eligible securities and respond to client inquiries on the same. Due to the scope of event types and their volume, Corporate Actions is organized into several business units: Principal and Income (P&I), Stock Dividends, Dividend International Services (DIS), Global Tax Services, Mandatory Reorganization, Voluntary Reorganization, and P&I Event Reconciliation Support (PIERS).

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and controls reconciliation of all tax adjustments to the collected funds. Updates tax tables allowing proper withholding on all security types as well as the various tax components including Section 302, Section 305(c) and 871(m) Reporting/Withholding.
  • Ensures that tax funds are remitted to the IRS according to the IRS-imposed schedule.
  • Prepares and reconciles the Asset Services Division 1042-S and 1042 forms and provides the 1042 for filing.
  • Manage the process of 2439 reporting and W-9 compliance.
  • Executes on operational processes by following documented procedures and job aides, able to make suggestions on improving process and efficiency. Processes specialized workflows, resolves exceptions, assists with complex inquiries.
  • Takes ownership of workload, ensures deliverables are met in line with procedures, metrics, and benchmarks; while adhering to critical timeframes; ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Maintains a steadfast focus on client service, including responding to inquiries timely and accurately, resolving issues promptly.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate issue resolution, process improvements, and risk reduction.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, active engagement in meetings and displays a curiosity to learn and grow; accepts feedback given and applies to role.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.
