If so, then you may be our next Corporate Accounting Processor at Viasat! You will be integral in supporting dynamic growth across the company and ensuring appropriate accounting. You will work closely with the Fixed Asset team and key points of contact throughout the organization to ensure assets are accurately tracked and capitalized in the subledger. The ideal candidate will have a can-do mindset, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for driving efficiencies by improving current practices.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of work experience in a Finance or Accounting role.
  • Associate’s degree or higher with a preferred focus in Accounting or Finance
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel; high accuracy in data entry and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience or a strong foundational knowledge of using automated accounting workflows, macros, or AI productivity tools to optimize day-to-day processing.
  • Excellent communication skills, a self-motivated approach, and the ability to balance, prioritize, and build strong relationships within and outside the accounting team

Nice To Haves

  • ERP system experience (Oracle preferred).
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools or prompt engineering to enhance routine spreadsheet modeling and financial reporting workflows

Responsibilities

  • Track existing fixed assets, record depreciation and fixed asset retirements, capitalization, and complete account reconciliations.
  • Support the implementation of automated data workflows to streamline routine transaction processing and reduce manual data entry.
  • Responsible for working with the Fixed Asset team to support a variety of ad hoc projects and recurring daily tasks.
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools and automated assistants where applicable to improve the speed and accuracy of financial data categorization and subledger reporting.
  • Challenge existing practices and help determine scalable, tech-forward solutions for new and evolving processes.
