About The Position

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to lead our payroll accounting function. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee end-to-end payroll accounting operations, ensure compliance, and drive process improvements across a complex, multi-entity environment. You’ll partner closely with HR, Finance, and external auditors while managing and developing a high-performing team. Requirements

  • 8+ years of payroll or payroll accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, payroll taxes, and compliance requirements
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems (UKG, ADP, Workday, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
  • Experience working in large, complex, or multi-entity environments
  • Proven ability to lead teams, meet deadlines, and drive process improvements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • High level of integrity and discretion with sensitive information

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Experience with system implementations or large-scale process redesigns
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end payroll accounting operations, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, payroll tax laws, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of payroll accounting professionals
  • Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes related to payroll
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting and audit readiness
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency across payroll and accounting workflows
  • Support and lead system implementations, upgrades, and process redesigns (e.g., UKG, ADP, Workday)
  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain strong internal controls across multiple entities and jurisdictions
