About The Position

The Corporate Accounting Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the general ledger and accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient transaction processing, and adherence to internal controls. This role leads the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting, providing insights to support company decision-making. The Corporate Accounting Manager also develops and maintains accounting policies, supports audits, budgeting, and forecasting, and collaborates with other departments to optimize financial practices. This role requires a strong attention to detail, leadership skills to mentor a small team, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
• 5 or more years of experience in accounting
• 3 - 5 years of leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, journal entry review, account balance reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
• Support the organization’s financial management and/or control processes
• Contribute to the development of annual budgets and forecasts; partnering with stakeholders to accurately forecast resources to deliver performance targets
• Communicate and collaborate with key business leaders and play an active role in the monthly actuals vs. budget review meetings to ensure financial information is accurate and timely
• Co-lead external audits, maintain compliance with accounting standards
• Analyze financial data to provide insights into business performance and recommend areas of improvement
• Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data for inventory, fixed assets, and the general ledger
• Supporting the preparation and timely delivery of financial reports
• Identify process improvement opportunities and lead process improvement efforts to increase accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of month end close
• Serve as an agent of change for system improvements and technology automation. Support implementation of new projects, software, and tools to gain efficiencies, standardize processes, and automate controls.
• Mentor and lead accounting team members, providing guidance, task prioritization, and supporting the team
• Perform other duties as assigned
