About The Position

Carpenter Technology is seeking a Corporate Accounting Summer 2027 Intern for its Corporate Finance business unit. The team delivers accurate, complete, and timely financial information to internal and external customers. Ongoing work includes consolidating global company results, general accounting, preparing quarterly and annual SEC reports, coordinating financial audits, and executing key financial controls. The intern will assist with reporting requirements for the annual SEC Form 10-K.

The internship offers opportunities to develop adaptability, problem-solving, active learning, communication, and collaboration skills in a fast-paced corporate environment. The position is on-site in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program majoring in Accounting.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Willing and able to work on-site in Reading, Pennsylvania.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder due to Carpenter's government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reporting requirements for the annual SEC Form 10-K.

• Eligible interns commuting more than 50 miles one-way from outside the immediate Reading, PA area receive a one-time $2,400 excessive commute allowance, less applicable taxes.
• Eligible interns temporarily relocating from more than 50 miles one-way outside the immediate Reading, PA area receive a one-time $4,800 housing allowance, less applicable taxes.
