Position Summary The Corporate Accountant will support the Accounting Manager and Controller overseeing the corporate accounting and reporting for the company. This role is based in Boca Raton, FL and will focus on full-cycle monthly financial reporting for assigned corporate entities, including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to owners and lenders as well as assisting with annual audits and consolidation reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years industry, real estate experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP , month end close process and reporting
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated; able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and establish relationships across the organization
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to develop more efficient procedures

  • Yardi experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly corporate financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Managing bi-weekly payroll funding, recording and reconciling balances
  • Assist manager with data collection and supporting schedules for annual audits and tax preparation
  • Monthly calculations for Developer fees, Construction management fees, Quality control fees
  • Handle daily cash management for assigned corporate entities
  • Perform general ledger accounting for assigned corporate entities, including allocations, prepaids, accruals, amortization, depreciation, receivables, and payables to ensure compliance with GAAP and company guidelines.
  • Monitor equity contributions and distributions for class B partners including funding for all division projects
  • Assist with other projects as needed
