Requirements

  • University or College graduate with a major in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, demonstrating advanced expertise in MS Excel such as v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, problem solver, and proactive in taking initiative.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ideally located within a reasonable commuting distance. From Niagara Falls

Responsibilities

  • Immerse yourself in full cycle accounting by actively booking and reviewing daily revenues, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial records.
  • Analyze and elucidate month-end costs and expenses for finance and operational leaders, providing valuable insights.
  • Provide robust financial analysis to support operational and finance objectives, fostering strategic decision-making.
  • Proactively follow up on discrepancies related to daily revenue, cash flow, and expenses, demonstrating a commitment to financial precision.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements within specified deadlines, showcasing meticulous attention to detail through the accurate preparation of journal entries.
  • Regularly reconcile balance sheet accounts including but not limited to Bank reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Preparation of monthly Royalty payments, HST and NR4 tax remittances, ensuring up-to-date reporting requirements and adherence with contractual obligations & regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the year-end audit process, supporting the Balance Sheet reconciliation & review process, preparation of notes, and supporting documentation.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with internal controls, actively recommending improvements to existing policies and procedures.
  • Assist in preparation the annual budgets.
  • Extend support to other team members as required, promoting a collaborative work environment.
