About The Position

Transitional Services for New York, Inc. (TSINY), a not-for-profit mental health services agency, is seeking a Full-Time Corporate Compliance Specialist for its Administrative offices in Whitestone, NY. TSINY is a comprehensive, community-based mental health organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals recovering from mental illness and facilitating their transition to greater independence. The agency aims to expand its rehabilitative services and become a regional social service provider, with staff committed to delivering programs with compassion, integrity, and professionalism, prioritizing client needs and mutual respect.

Requirements

BA/BS degree
3-5 years' administrative, supervisory, and clinical experience with a psychiatric population.

Responsibilities

Conduct compliance and quality assurance audits.
Serve as a member of the Incident Review Committee.
Report incidents to the Justice Center and New York State Office of Mental Health.
Investigate allegations of client abuse and neglect.
Audit insurance claims for compliance with requirements and regulations.
Provide training for staff and directors.
Audit all programs for adherence to operating regulations.
Be available 24/7 for serious incidents.
Develop and refine policies and procedures.
Monitor the Agency's compliance program.
Participate in the ongoing development of the compliance program.
Fulfill HIPAA Privacy Officer duties.
Participate in the Staff Development Committee and agency staff development efforts.
Coordinate staff orientation.
Monitor AWARD Helpdesk and Zendesk.
Perform other related duties as required.
