About The Position

Appointed by the Coronado Fitness Center Manager, this role is responsible for keeping the premises of the Coronado Fitness Center in clean and orderly condition by performing various duties related to building maintenance and janitorial services.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in building maintenance.
Must have experience or willing to learn the use of audio-visual equipment.
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Requires a valid Arkansas driver’s license and a clean driving record with proof of liability insurance.
Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays and be able to work independently without supervision.

Responsibilities

Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, breakrooms, restrooms and other work areas.
Perform light building maintenance and janitorial duties.
Sweep, scrub, wax, vacuum and polish floors.
Clean and polish lighting fixtures, floor surfaces, and trim.
Power wash pool area decks and locker rooms and front entrance to the facility.
Safely perform aerial work as needed.
Clean carpets, furniture, blinds, windows and doors.
Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Mop floors.
Replenish bathroom supplies. Replace light bulbs.
Perform pool maintenance.
May be required to drive POA vehicle or personal vehicle while conducting POA business.
Deliver outstanding customer service, making every effort to accommodate customer needs.
Ensure the safety of patrons and staff through accident prevention and safety policy, enforcing all facility and recreation location rules and regulations.
Maintain a safe, clean amenity/facility at all times.
Report to supervisor any safety materials needed or maintenance concerns.
