About The Position
Corner Marshall (Part Time) Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater. Job Description: Corner marshals are responsible for ensuring the track is a safe environment for drivers of all vehicles on the race track. Positioned at various points around the track, they use a combination of flag and radio communication to inform both drivers and Race Control of the current track conditions. Essential Functions: • Work in a fast paced environment. • Use flags to communicate track conditions to vehicles on the race track. • Use radios to communicate track conditions to Race Control. • Use good judgement to determine safe vs. unsafe track conditions.
Requirements
- Demonstrates good, clear communication skills.
- Candidate must be flexible on hours, able to work weekends and non-regular hours.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
- Though Part Time shifts are full day shifts.
