About The Position

Vantage Eye Center is seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained cornea surgeon to join their multispecialty ophthalmology and optometry practice. The practice has experienced significant growth over the last 30 years and offers a comprehensive range of eye care services, including treatment for corneal disorders, diabetic eye diseases, cataracts, retina, oculoplastics, refractive, and glaucoma. The team consists of 13 surgeons, 5 optometrists, and dedicated support staff. The center handles over 50,000 patient visits and 5,000 major surgical procedures annually, with a light call schedule of approximately 4 weeks per year. Vantage Eye Center operates a two-room, ophthalmology-specific Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) on-site and has optical shops. They have two locations in Monterey and one in Salinas, positioning themselves as the region's premier center for comprehensive eye care. Doctors are trained in advanced medical and surgical techniques, providing university-level eye care.

Responsibilities

• Treat a wide variety of eye disease including corneal disorders, diabetic eye diseases, cataracts, retina, oculoplastics, refractive, and glaucoma.
• Perform major surgical procedures.
