About The Position
At Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, the Core Tech functions as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role is responsible for case cart preparation, sterilization processes, and the accountability and care of surgical instruments and equipment. The Core Tech also performs tasks related to supply distribution in the surgery area, which includes monitoring and maintaining controls of materials, placing orders, receiving, stocking, distributing, and packing as needed. The Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital OR performs procedures including General/vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, and OB/GYN in its 8 operating rooms. As an Orthopedic Center of Excellence, the majority of cases are within the orthopedic service line, with a high volume of same-day discharge procedures for total joints.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or ability to obtain the card upon hire
