About The Position
At Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, we perform procedures including General/vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, and OB/GYN in our 8 operating rooms. As an Orthopedic Center of Excellence, the majority of our cases are within the orthopedic service line. Our largest case volume includes same day discharge procedures for total joints. This position functions as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will be responsible for case cart preparation, sterilization processes, and accountability and care of surgical instruments and equipment. The Core Tech also performs tasks related to supply distribution in the surgery area which includes: monitoring and maintaining controls of materials, placing orders, receiving, stocking, and distributing and packing as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or ability to obtain the card upon hire
Nice To Haves
- Surgical Tech, Sterile Instrument Tech, or previous experience preferred
