About The Position

The Lead Researcher provides scientific, technical, and operational leadership for the Core Molecular Facility with the School of Biological Sciences. Responsible for advanced genomic and transcriptomic laboratory operations, bioinformatics support, instrumentation oversight, user training, and core facility administration. Serves as a subject matter expert in nucleic acid sequencing workflows and associated data analysis, supporting research programs across the college. Operates with a high degree of independent judgment and contributes to the sustainability, modernization, and research impact of a shared academic research facility.

Requirements

  • Master's degree
  • 36 months related research experience, including supervision
  • Will accept 72 months related research experience in lieu of the Master's degree for a total of 108 months of related experience

  • PhD in a related scientific field
