About The Position
The Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education is seeking a teacher to provide instruction in Core French (Grades 6, 7, 8), Visual Arts (Grades 6, 7, 8), Healthy Living (Grade 8), Music (Grade 6), and Academic Support. This is a 1.00 FTE vacant position. Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance with the Nova Scotia Teachers' Provincial Agreement.
Requirements
- Ability to provide 3 professional/supervisory, work-related references, their email addresses and their phone numbers in your SuccessFactors application.
- References must be able to speak to an applicant’s teaching abilities.
- Availability to take phone calls for interview appointments between June 18 and July 3.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality instruction within the framework established by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
- Implement strategies, activities, and techniques for promoting student learning based on each student’s prior knowledge, skills, and learning needs
- Demonstrate best practices in assessment to determine next steps
- Attend and actively engage in meetings and ongoing professional development
- Maintain and submit all records in online systems and other communication avenues
