Core Faculty, Dance/Movement Therapy (Open Rank)

Lesley University•Cambridge, MA

About The Position

Lesley University is seeking a Core Faculty member in Dance/Movement Therapy for its Expressive Therapies Department, which integrates counseling and multiple arts modalities. The position is suited to an experienced scholar-practitioner with expertise in using creativity and somatic or body-based processes to support health, well-being, and development across diverse client populations. The department’s graduate programs prepare students to integrate the arts with clinical mental health practice. Its 60-credit Clinical Mental Health programs meet Massachusetts academic and field training requirements for Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licensure. Five specialization tracks—Music, Art, Dance/Movement, Drama, and Expressive Arts Therapy—prepare graduates for certification through national and professional associations. Programs are offered on campus and in low-residency formats, and the specializations are housed together to support interdisciplinary collaboration. The faculty member will teach graduate-level Dance/Movement Therapy courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats; advise and mentor students; contribute to curriculum and program assessment; participate in accreditation work; and maintain relevant scholarship, creative work, or clinical practice. Core Faculty positions are governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
