About The Position

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Core Cutter to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a one-year term position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation. This position is open to candidates who reside within 150 km of the McIlvenna Bay site or who can travel using our company shuttle from Saskatoon or Prince Albert. No additional travel subsidy is provided. Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a cornerstone asset and one of the most significant copper development projects in Canada. With commercial production expected in mid-2026, this world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. The Core Cutter is responsible for safely cutting, organizing, and handling drill core samples to support exploration activities. This is an entry-level position requiring no prior experience, where employees will learn core handling procedures, equipment operation, and foundational geology support tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No prior experience required
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field sites as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with core cutting or related activities in a mining or exploration context is an asset
  • Possession of or ability to possess a fork-lift operating licence considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Cut drill core using core saws following established procedures
  • Label, organize, and store core samples accurately
  • Move and handle core boxes and materials within the core shack
  • Operate basic equipment such as skid steers and forklifts (as trained)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized core shack
  • Perform basic equipment inspections and routine maintenance of geotechnical equipment
  • Complete drill site inspections as required
  • Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures
  • Assist geotechnicians and geologists with core handling and preparation
  • Assist with field programs as required
  • Support general site and camp duties as required
