About The Position

Aurora Geosciences Ltd (“Aurora”) is currently looking to hire an experienced core cutter for a program located in the Yukon. Reporting to the onsite Project Manager, the core cutter will be responsible for the safe operation of the core cutting machine, safe handling of core and core boxes, adequate acquisition of all required Assay samples from drill core, maintaining of all core cutting equipment and supplies, and core teching if delegated by the Project Manager. The role also includes performing any other duties, projects or activities as required and directed by the onsite Project Manager, and complying with all Health Safety Security and Environmental rules and company policies of Aurora.

Requirements

• Be committed to safe work practices and abiding by the company code of conduct and associated policies
• Be comfortable and have experience working in the field or remote work environments and in all weather conditions
• Be in good physical condition, capable of carrying up to 25kg of weight and able to work long hours
• Have experience working with rock saws and associated equipment

Nice To Haves

• Have a valid Drivers License
• Have a valid Wilderness First Aid Certificate
