About The Position
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater is renowned for its stellar performances, high-caliber dance training, and innovative educational initiatives. The Ailey organization has a rich and inspiring history rooted in African-American traditions and provides young people with a range of role models within its group of experienced instructors. Ailey Extension employs part-time instructors to teach students on its weekly schedule classes. The Ailey Extension instructor reports to the Director, Lisa Johnson-Willingham and is responsible for supporting the mission of the Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation and providing the highest caliber instruction to all students.
Requirements
- Instructors should demonstrate expertise working in a particular dance technique(s) as a professional artist and educator.
- They should possess a passion for working with students in all levels of their training.
