About The Position

The CORE Center Research Study Coordinator (Coordinator) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of clinical research studies. The Coordinator will recruit and screen new study participants and complete all protocol required activities. Works closely with the Principal Investigator to implement and administer all study related questionnaires and/or interviews, study driven procedures, and maintenance of research subject database. This is a grant-funded position. The Grant 2026 CCH CTN 0152 Evaluation of Tirzepatide will expire on August 31, 2028, with the potential to be renewed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university is required (Must provide official transcripts at time of interview).
  • One (1) year of experience working in a clinical research or public health setting is required
  • Experience preparing shipments of dangerous goods is required
  • Experience and knowledge working with medical technology is required
  • Must have complete Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training and Human Subjects Protection (HSP) training is required
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) is required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a public facing research or health education role is preferred
  • Understanding of the ethical and technical conduct of research or work experience in public health, epidemiology, health promotion is preferred
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) concepts is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and schedules participant research visits.
  • Obtains consent from research participants and ensures participants understand the protocol and what is expected of them while participating.
  • Administers interviewer study questionnaires and or interviews.
  • Obtains and maintain familiarity and working relationships with an interpreter to support documentation translation services for the purpose of assuring language needs are met for patients contemplating participation in research.
  • Completes study protocol procedures according to study specific operating requirements.
  • Ensures integrity of data entry, edits, and storage per study protocol.
  • Facilitates the collection of medical records per study protocol.
  • Coordinates with the research team to facilitate timely data collection and submission.
  • Responsible for retention efforts and retaining participants on study, according to the visit schedule set forth by the protocol.
  • Prepares shipments of dangerous goods according to relevant guidelines.
  • Remains current and updated on relevant State and Federal research guidelines and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
