About The Position

We're looking for a Core Automation Specialist to help us continually improve the systems that power our credit union through thoughtful automation, smart integrations, and innovative problem solving. We're looking for someone who enjoys building solutions, automating repetitive work, improving business processes, and serving as a trusted technical partner across the organization. If you're equally comfortable writing scripts, working with APIs and databases, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with people across departments, you'll find meaningful work and plenty of opportunities to make a lasting impact. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional experience in software development, systems administration, automation engineering, or a similar technical role.
  • Experience developing with REST and/or SOAP APIs.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript, Python, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience working with SQL, relational databases, and database design concepts.
  • Experience working with JSON and XML.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage projects while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Financial institution or credit union technology experience.
  • Experience with Keystone core systems or similar financial core platforms.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
  • Experience working with Docker, containers, orchestration tools, or workflow automation platforms (DAGs).
  • Familiarity with Linux administration.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment.
  • Experience managing vendors and third-party software integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, maintain, and support automations that improve business processes across the credit union.
  • Develop scripts and integrations using APIs and modern scripting languages to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.
  • Administer and support our financial core system and related applications, ensuring reliable day-to-day operation.
  • Serve as a technical consultant for departments looking to improve workflows through automation and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with business units, vendors, and third-party partners to implement new functionality and maintain existing integrations.
  • Perform system upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance while ensuring system security and stability.
  • Document new processes, automation solutions, and technical procedures so they can be easily understood and maintained.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while responding to operational support requests and changing business needs.
  • Participate in scheduled after-hours maintenance windows and provide on-call support for critical issues when necessary.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve systems, eliminate inefficiencies, and deliver better experiences for both employees and members.
