About The Position

OLIVER is hiring a Copywriter to join our Beer & Beverage team. This role is ideal for a social-first creative who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves turning cultural moments into engaging, platform-native content. You’ll bring a deep understanding of social media, pop culture, and beverage marketing to create impactful copy across digital, social, experiential, and integrated campaigns. Working closely with art directors, designers, producers, and account teams, you’ll help concept and execute high-quality work that resonates with Canadian audiences while collaborating with US-based partners.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of copywriting experience (agency background preferred)
  • Proven experience writing social-first content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and execution
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, formats, and audience behaviors
  • Ability to think conceptually across multiple channels and mediums
  • Experience presenting ideas clearly and confidently to clients
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple briefs and deadlines independently
  • Comfortable using insights and data to support creative decisions
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Passion for teamwork and creative problem-solving

Responsibilities

  • Concept and write social-first creative across digital, social, traditional, and experiential channels
  • Partner with art directors and content creators to bring brand ideas to life from brief to execution
  • Work within a social “newsroom” environment to react, post, and engage in real time
  • Develop and execute copy for organic and paid social content
  • Adapt and localize US-based creative for Canadian audiences
  • Write within brand guidelines while mastering multiple brand voices
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, tone, and quality across all written content
  • Present, articulate, and sell creative ideas to internal teams and clients
  • Take briefs from account teams and own copy from start to finish
  • Collaborate with clients, account managers, designers, and strategists to meet brief objectives
  • Stay ahead of cultural, social, entertainment, sports, and platform trends
  • Use insights and performance data to inform and optimize creative
  • Repurpose and adapt content for multi-channel and multi-use campaigns
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting timelines and creative standards
