About The Position

Branch is seeking a Copywriter & AI Content Systems Designer who thinks like a systems builder. The core of this role involves building and tuning AI-powered systems to produce high-quality copy at scale, enabling the team to work more efficiently without compromising quality. While writing and editorial judgment are crucial, a significant part of the job will be training AI tools to emulate the Branch brand voice. This position is focused on production and systems work, not high-concept campaign creative, and will involve creating member emails, product copy, social media content, B2B materials, and web content. The ideal candidate understands that output quality is directly related to the quality of the underlying system.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated fluency in building with AI writing tools, not just using them. Experience building systems such as prompt libraries, custom GPTs, brand-voice setups, or automated workflows.
  • A clear point of view on AI tooling, staying current and able to differentiate between valuable tools and hype.
  • Strong editorial instincts with the ability to recognize and articulate what constitutes good copy and why something is not working.
  • 2 to 4 years of copywriting experience. A portfolio showcasing AI systems work (prompts, custom GPTs, workflows) is valued as much as traditional published copy.
  • Comfort working across multiple brands, formats, and audiences simultaneously.
  • Curiosity and a bias toward problem-solving, with the ability to build novel solutions.
  • Excellent grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to adapt to feedback and edit copy to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Figma.
  • Experience in insurance, fintech, or a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve AI-powered copy workflows to scale the team's output without sacrificing quality.
  • Develop and refine prompt libraries, brand voice guidelines, and training inputs to teach AI tools to write in the Branch voice.
  • Own the QA process for AI-generated copy, including reviewing outputs, identifying gaps, and retraining systems when quality declines.
  • Stay current on AI tooling and provide informed opinions on which tools are worth adopting.
  • Write clear, on-brand copy across various formats, including emails, direct mail, out-of-home advertising, B2B pitch materials, social posts, web pages, product tooltips, video scripts, and long-form content.
  • Consistently bring the brand voice to life across all touchpoints and audiences.
  • Work within regulatory constraints while ensuring good writing practices.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, content strategists, and marketers to deliver copy suitable for the format, channel, and audience.
  • Contribute to building a scalable creative operation where AI handles volume and humans handle judgment.
