About The Position

Saputo is looking for an Inventory Procurement Coordinator to join our organization. Reporting to the Administration Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring sound procurement and inventory management to maintain optimal levels. They will also be responsible for transferring goods between warehouses to ensure adequate inventory levels for production. How you will make a difference... Analyze the daily production schedule to ensure optimal supply of materials and ingredients necessary for production; Validate the availability of essential production items (labels, ingredients, packaging materials) daily; Track production changes and assess their impact on procurement and inventory levels; Work closely with the planning team to report any shortages that could compromise planned production; Prepare and track orders from external warehouses to the plant; Plan transportation and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely delivery of the correct products; Conduct monthly inventory of packaging materials and ingredients in external warehouses; Validate stock movements between warehouses and the plant in the computer system; Coordinate returns to suppliers and ensure their efficient management; Ensure the destruction of any obsolete packaging materials and/or non-conforming ingredients; Ensure the replacement of dry warehouse shipping/receiving team members as needed and provide operational support; Actively participate in plant inventory management projects; Perform any other related tasks related to the position.

Requirements

  • Completed post-secondary diploma/certificate or equivalent training
  • Relevant experience of 3 to 5 years in a similar role, knowledge of inventory process is an asset
  • Forklift operation experience (valid forklift license is an asset)
  • Excellent command of Excel and good knowledge of the Office suite
  • High level of accuracy, organization, analysis, documentation, and autonomy
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Good interpersonal skills, proactive and resourceful
  • Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset
