About The Position

The role of the Coordinator involves facilitating and coordinating assigned quote activities, establishing improved standard quoting processes, and delivering accurate and comprehensive product quotes. The position requires working closely with finance, IT, engineering, and material quoting teams to ensure the lowest possible costs and enhance the quoting process.

Requirements

  • Administrative support and project coordination.
  • Project management and customer service.
  • Manufacturing experience and cost analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance.
  • One to two years of experience in an office environment.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and cost reduction techniques.
  • Proficiency in managing timelines with experience in manufacturing quotes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to draw logical conclusions.
  • Extensive experience with Excel, database programs, and MRP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate assigned quote activities for the company.
  • Establish new and improved standard quoting processes and systems.
  • Deliver and present accurate product quotes based on financial analysis and industry experience.
  • Apply logic to verify all material and costs.
  • Collaborate with the quote team and engineering to ensure minimal material and other costs before routing quotes for signatures.
  • Coordinate quote kickoffs and review RFQ templates before setting up meetings.
  • Work with finance and IT to improve quote processes, pricing worksheets, and software.
  • Coordinate assigned quote activities with engineering and materials quoting team for accurate and timely delivery.
  • Challenge engineering and material quoting teams for lowest total cost solutions.
  • Analyze data and compare quotes to target pricing received from customers.
  • Establish pricing models for each customer to increase margins and revenue.
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Manage multiple quotes simultaneously and meet expected timelines.
  • Review and analyze material costs, routings, NRE, custom tooling, and other cost aspects of quotes.
  • Initiate, attend, and lead meetings to support quoting activities.
