Qualifications: Education/Certification: Master’s degree with Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Texas License from the State Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of federal and state special education rules and regulations Knowledge of specially designed instruction Knowledge of best practices in evaluation process Knowledge of recommended strategies and intervention for students receiving speech therapy Ability to supervise, coordinate and collaborate with staff in accordance with duties Effective communication, human relations and leadership skills Proficient in use of digital tools including Google Suite, Microsoft 365 ARD/IEP Software and Learning Management Systems Experience: Five (5) years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist Documented special education campus/district leadership experience Experience as a LEAD SLP, preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties: Program Management Coordinate the supervision of the speech-language pathologists, licensed assistants, interns, and clinical fellows in speech-language pathology. Coordinate professional development and continuing education (CEs) for speech-language pathologists. Coordinate the hiring and scheduling of the bilingual instructional paraprofessionals. Coordinate the workloads and assignments of speech-language pathologists. Coordinate Session Notes/SHARS Submission of Medicaid reimbursement for speech-language pathologists. Monitor State Performance Plan Indicators 7, 11 and 12 to ensure compliance. Monitor administration and compliance of Special Education Language Acquisition (SELA) data. Develop and maintain data collection system to provide “real time” data regarding number of assessments completed by staff. Assist with development and revision of procedures/guidelines/practices for Speech Language Pathologists. Attend administrative team meetings for special education. Attend staffings and ARDs when appropriate Coordinate the selection and ordering of testing and therapy materials. Recruit and select qualified speech-language pathologists for hire or contract. Collaborate with the Assistive Technology team on improving services to students. Other Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Maintain an appropriate level of technology competence to meet the current and future needs of Alief. Implement alternative methods of instruction as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise and conduct performance evaluation of Speech-Language Pathologists, SLP-As, and Bilingual Speech Therapy paraprofessionals. Evaluation Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of Professional Supervisor Personnel. Calendar Days: 220 Pay Grade: P05 2025-2026 Salary Range Min. $85,343 Mid. $100,378 Max. $115,415 (Based on previous experience) Salaries are determined by the number of completed and eligible years of service at an accredited school.
