About The Position

The main purpose of this position is to coordinate, review, evaluate, monitor and access the allocation and utilization of resources for individuals with intellectual disabilities in the Central Maryland Region. This position will ensure that all services are implemented equitably and appropriately to eligible individuals. This position will provide consultation to providers and or agencies who provide services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, such as staffing ratios, service models, funding issues and implementation of person-centered plans. This position will assist team Directors, Deputy and Regional Directors, to plan the service delivery system within the parameters established by DDA. This position will perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • Two years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.
  • Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

  • Expertise in Person-Centered Planning.
  • Experience analyzing service plans for health and safety.
  • Reviewing quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Supervisory or managerial roles within service delivery systems for individuals with disabilities.
  • Understanding of DDA funded services, community resources, and person-centered philosophies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, report preparation, and computer systems (e.g., electronic health records).

Responsibilities
