About The Position

Scheurer Health, a critical access rural hospital, is seeking a full time Infection Prevention Coordinator.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of clinical experience
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and hold a current RN License
• Association for Practitioners in Infection Control (APIC) training course or equivalent or will obtain training within one year of date of hire
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the direction, management, and operations of infection prevention throughout Scheurer Healthcare
• Develop and provide oversight for the Infection Prevention Program
• Manage the operations of Infection Prevention Program
• Serve as a resource in the area of infection prevention for employees, medical staff members, patients, residents and members of the community
• Oversee surveillance/monitoring and reporting processes related to Infection Prevention
• Collaborate with outside agencies, networks, associations, healthcare facilities, and other organizations involved in infection prevention and clinical education
