About The Position

Under supervision, handles patient telephone calls relating to self-pay accounts and document the patient’s account accordingly for any action taken or requested. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of accepted billing and payment mechanisms. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the process of billing, claims processing and receivable follow-up. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Enterprise Services, UHS Revenue Cycle Operations Primary Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $17.98 - $25.17 per hour, depending on experience

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of prior office/clerical experience
• Experience working with CPT and ICD-9/10 Terminology

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in hospital third party billing practices and telephone contact
• Experience with data base software, including Microsoft Products (Excel)
