About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting with the management of day-to-day operations of the Hatchery Feed Mill Transportation or Production Complex. Responsibilities include providing administrative and supervisory support to the location manager; maintaining official records; reviewing and setting production schedules; creating, updating, and approving weekly work schedules (including vacations, leaves of absence, etc.); managing the SAP Purchase Order system; administering the safety program; and performing all other duties as required by management.

Requirements

  • Experienced-level position requiring thorough knowledge of the work area
  • Typically requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related experience
  • Accountability Role: Provides coordination and support for moderately complex assignments within a department or group
  • Work is performed under general supervision with some degree of independence
  • Requires comprehensive knowledge of departmental operations and how they impact related work units
  • Provides tactical guidance or recommendations to internal and external customers to resolve issues within established guidelines
  • Strong customer service skills required
  • Standard computer skills required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must use safe lifting techniques
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk; or hear
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • When visiting facilities, the team member is expected to follow all required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain official records and perform administrative and supervisory duties in support of the location manager
  • Review and set production schedules
  • Create, maintain, and approve weekly work schedules, including vacations and leaves of absence
  • Manage and administer the SAP Purchase Order system
  • Administer the location safety program
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
