About The Position

The Coordinator of College Transition Coaches is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing recruitment, outreach, and enrollment initiatives that support the College’s strategic enrollment goals and attract prospective students to academic and workforce education programs. This position provides leadership, supervision, and professional development for the College Transition Services team, ensuring the delivery of personalized enrollment guidance and transition support from initial inquiry through the application process. The coordinator develops and manages the annual recruitment calendar, oversees staff training, monitors departmental performance, and ensures compliance with institutional procedures and strategic enrollment initiatives. Working collaboratively with the Coordinator of Enrollment Services, Coordinator of Student Success, academic departments, and community partners, this position strengthens recruitment pipelines, promotes seamless student transitions, and advances student enrollment at Texas Southmost College.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree.
  • Must have at least two years of experience in recruitment, admissions, or a related field.
  • Must have at least one year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Must have experience with CRM systems.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise and support a team of college transition specialists to engage prospective students at high schools, community events, businesses, and other establishments.
  • Provides leadership in the planning, coordination, and evaluation of recruitment initiatives designed to attract adult learners, career changers, and individuals pursuing workforce training, professional development, and certification opportunities.
  • Collaborates with the Coordinator of Enrollment Services to leverage efforts at high schools and ensure all graduating seniors are being communicated with.
  • Make data-informed decisions when implementing the campus strategic enrollment plan along with the assistance of the Associate Vice President of Student Services.
  • Under the guidance of the Associate Vice President of Student Services, continually evaluate processes, strategies, and tactics to improve the recruitment and enrollment funnel of the college.
  • Train and support staff involved in recruitment and admission efforts and operations.
  • Meets with the Office of Admissions and Records regularly to ensure the Transition Office is in compliance with all admissions regulations.
  • Ensure CRM system is leveraged in recruitment and enrollment operations.
  • Build and maintain a cohesive, integrated, and collaborative enrollment function that promotes high standards of customer service so that prospective students have an excellent experience from the first point of contact through admissions and matriculation.
  • Enhance the communication for leads and prospective students to maintain engagement through the enrollment process.
  • Under the supervision of the Associate Vice President of Student Services coordinate college strategic enrollment management goals while utilizing specific knowledge gained from admissions, registration criteria, financial aid and/or scholarship information and deadlines.
  • Work in partnership with the Associate Vice President of Student Services to establish annual enrollment goals.
  • Coordinates and conducts Scorpion Preview Day and community enrollment events to promote Texas Southmost College’s academic and workforce programs, enhance the prospective student experience, and support recruitment and enrollment goals.
  • Facilitate call, text and email campaigns to prospective TSC students by utilizing the CRM for tracking outreach.
  • Participate in the systematic review process and evaluation for the College Transition Specialist functional area, including the development and monitoring of outcomes and plans of action for improvement.
  • Responsible for accuracy of data in all databases.
  • Leads the development and analysis of recruitment reports to monitor performance, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement strategies for the College Transition Services team.
  • Prepare monthly enrollment reports to monitor progress toward key enrollment objectives, including lead-to-application conversion rates, the number of high school visits conducted each month, adult learner engagement metrics, CRM outreach completion rates, and enrollment goal attainment by term.
  • Participates in weekly cross-functional enrollment meetings.
  • Leads the Coordination of a shared recruitment calendar.
  • Ensures alignment of messaging and outreach strategies across departments.
  • Attend the workplace regularly, report to work punctually and follow a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite.
  • Working hours may include evenings, holidays or weekends depending on deadline requirements and special events.
  • Complete duties and responsibilities in compliance with college standards, policies and guidelines.
  • Use interpersonal skills and makes sound judgments to decide how duties and responsibilities are completed between coworkers, the supervisory chain, faculty, staff, students, and customers.
  • Complete all required training and professional development sessions sponsored by Texas Southmost College.
  • Support the values and institutional goals as defined in the College’s Strategic Plan.
  • Promote positive morale and teamwork within the department and provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty and community.
  • Serve on committees as appropriate and as appointed by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
