About The Position

Student Engagement and Belonging at the University of Southern Maine is seeking a Coordinator to join their team. Student Engagement and Belonging is one of the most integral departments in Student Affairs at the University of Southern Maine. We empower students to cultivate their passions through meaningful connections that strengthen personal and social development to reach their highest potential. The Coordinator of Student Engagement and Belonging will develop and implement programs that focus on the social, educational, recreational, and wellness needs of students with a dedicated focus on inclusion and belonging initiatives. They will assist in facilitating co-curricular opportunities for students that include campus engagement events, leadership and developmental activities, conferences, etc. The Coordinator will work with the Student Affairs division to foster a living and learning environment that is safe and inclusive for all students, including students from underrepresented backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience including program development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of best practices in student engagement and fostering an inclusive and supportive environment within higher education.
  • Ability to provide a list of names and contact information for three references (for finalist candidates).
  • Must not require Visa sponsorship support.

Responsibilities
