About The Position

William Paterson University of New Jersey invites applications for the position of Coordinator of Strategic Partnership Admissions. Reporting to the Senior Director of the Office of Community College and Dual Enrollment Partnerships (CCDEP), this position is responsible for recruiting, supporting, and engaging high school students enrolled in approved dual enrollment partner high schools towards matriculation. Coordinator of Strategic Partnership Admissions serves as the primary liaison between the University and assigned partner schools for first-year admissions and plays a key role in planning and executing dual enrollment–related recruitment and engagement events on campus and at partner sites. This position supports the University’s enrollment goals by strengthening dual enrollment pipelines into matriculation, increasing awareness of William Paterson University among students and families, and ensuring a high-quality admissions experience for prospective and current dual enrollment students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in admissions, recruitment, college access, secondary education, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and external partners.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally and work evenings and weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, social work, or related field.
  • Experience working with dual enrollment, early college, or partnership-based programs.
  • Knowledge of admissions recruitment practices and CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with New Jersey secondary education systems and school districts.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit prospective dual enrollment students towards matriculation through high school visits, information sessions, presentations, and one-on-one advising.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high school administrators, counselors, teachers, students, and families.
  • Represent William Paterson University at recruitment programs, school-based events, and community outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with Admissions staff to support enrollment goals and ensure consistent messaging.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute dual enrollment conversion–specific events, including but not limited to campus visit days, orientations, information sessions, and yield-focused programs.
  • Coordinate logistics for on-campus and off-campus events, including scheduling, room reservations, communications, materials, and event-day support.
  • Partner with campus offices such as Academic Affairs, Student Development, Financial Aid, and Marketing to support event programming and student engagement.
  • Serve as support for other admissions on-campus event planning.
  • Assist students and families with application processes, enrollment steps, and general admissions-related inquiries specific to dual enrollment.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, recruitment activities, and student interactions in the University’s CRM systems.
  • Support assessment and reporting efforts related to dual enrollment recruitment and event effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with University policies and procedures related to admissions and dual enrollment programming.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
  • Assist with general Admissions recruitment initiatives as needed, including evening and weekend programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Enrollment Management goals.
  • Additional duties to be determined by the needs of the department.
