Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or program coordination experience, preferably within the developmental disabilities field.
  • Strong understanding of OPWDD regulations and person-centered service delivery.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic record systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Valid New York State Driver’s License is preferred.
  • Ability to travel to multiple program locations and administrative offices, as needed.
  • Passion for ADAPT's mission and demonstrates a commitment to the non-profit disability sector.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all measures for health, safety, and well-being are maintained at the highest level across assigned sites.
  • Oversee the daily operations of assigned programs, providing support and guidance to program leadership and direct support staff to ensure the delivery of person-centered services.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance with OPWDD, agency, and health and safety standards.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of staff in collaboration with the Senior Coordinator of Operations and Human Resources.
  • Assist in scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate coverage and quality care for the people supported.
  • Maintain accurate records related to staff performance, training, and program compliance; document supervisory sessions and performance follow-up.
  • Respond to routine program and operational issues, escalating complex matters to the Senior Coordinator of Operations as appropriate.
  • Support the implementation of agency policies, procedures, and best practices across assigned programs to ensure consistent and compliant service delivery.
  • Monitor facility maintenance, cleanliness, and safety standards; coordinate with Facilities or appropriate departments to address issues promptly.
  • Assist with reviewing and monitoring budgets, staffing patterns, and operational efficiency within assigned programs.
  • Participate in investigations, audits, and compliance reviews as directed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the development and execution of individualized, person-centered plans.
  • Serve as a liaison with families, advocates, and external providers to promote communication, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Participate in agency and program meetings, committees, and work groups as assigned.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, staff development, and program effectiveness.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive information related to staff, individuals supported, and agency operations.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.
