About The Position

This position's primary responsibilities fall into three categories: 1) support for Business Partners program, 2) external engagement, and 3) student retention. This position provides support to the College of Business and Humanities, effectively communicates with stakeholders, and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. Engages with a diverse group of internal and external inquiries and visitors to campus. A key function of this position is to generate interest and leads for the College of Business and Humanities (COBH), working closely with Admissions. Key components include outreach to prospective students, establishing business and community contacts, and promoting programs through a variety of platforms and strategic networking. While Admissions will manage the recruitment funnel, this individual will collaborate closely with the Admissions team, participating in specialized training as needed. In addition, this individual will work to support current student success including, but not limited to, coordinating and communicating with support services, as well as informal and formal student advising and guidance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Experience in higher education, specifically with regard to recruiting or student services.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, work ethic, attention to detail, organizational skills, the ability to learn and adapt to various computer software, and the ability to learn and work independently are essential.
  • A valid US Drivers' license with a safe driving record is required, and the energy and ability to travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience in business.
  • Event planning with coordination experience is helpful.
  • Marketing experience is helpful.
  • Proven experience as a recruiter, preferably in business and/or humanities.
  • Work effectively with others to achieve common goals and an ability to alter planned activities in order to accommodate new or changed situations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first contact for all COBH visitors and develop and maintain professional, positive rapport with students, parents, employers, faculty, and staff.
  • Compile program data and information for reports as directed.
  • Coordinate and oversee the prospective student process, including maintaining prospective student brochures and recruitment materials.
  • Develop, update, and maintain accreditation documents.
  • Stay well-versed in all UF programs to provide a broader university context, with COBH prospective student lead generation as the primary focus.
  • Collaborate with Enrollment Management to highlight COBH's unique qualities in marketing materials.
  • Develop outreach plans for both traditional and non-traditional students, including organizing COBH-specific visits, open houses, and information sessions.
  • Manage COBH's Business Partnerships Program, including coordination of annual memberships and employer campus events.
  • Assist current COBH students with basic advising questions and provide the necessary and applicable guidance.
  • Perform all other duties deemed appropriate for the position.
  • Manage COBH's social media presence in collaboration with UF's marketing team.
  • Ensure alignment of COBH program branding with admissions and UF-wide efforts.
