About The Position

Goodwill Greater New York and Northern New Jersey (GWNYNJ) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Coordinator of Employment Services to lead and oversee all Adult Employment Services programs. This leadership role is responsible for managing Vocational Evaluation, Pre-Placement Services, Job Development, Supported Employment, and DDD Medicaid-funded Job Coaching Services while ensuring participants receive high-quality, person-centered services that lead to successful competitive integrated employment outcomes. The Coordinator of Employment Services will supervise Vocational Evaluators/Counselors, Job Developers, Job Coaches, and other employment services staff, providing guidance, oversight, and accountability for service delivery, compliance, documentation, and program performance. This position plays a critical role in developing employment opportunities, supporting staff performance, maintaining strong relationships with employers and referral sources, and ensuring program goals, revenue targets, and employment outcomes are achieved. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two - five years of experience in vocational rehabilitation, workforce development, supported employment, disability services, or a related field
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory or management experience overseeing employment services staff with outcomes
  • Knowledge of vocational evaluation, job development, job coaching, employment retention, and career planning services.
  • Strong understanding of Employment First principles, CARF standards, and employment-related funding requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and achieve program performance goals.
  • Experience monitoring productivity, outcomes, billing, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Valid New Jersey Driver's License and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to travel throughout Northern New Jersey to employer locations, community sites, meetings, and program offices

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree preferred in Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Public Administration, Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience managing DOL/DDD Medicaid-funded employment services and/or DVRS Supported Employment services preferred.
  • Experience utilizing electronic case management systems, Foothold AWARDS, IGX SAGE preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all Adult Employment Services, including Vocational Evaluation, Pre-Placement Services, Job Development, Supported Employment, and DDD Medicaid-funded Job Coaching Services.
  • Supervise all employment services staff.
  • Ensure participants receive timely, person-centered services that lead to successful competitive integrated employment outcomes.
  • Oversee participant intake, orientation, vocational assessments, evaluations, employment planning, reporting and service authorizations.
  • Monitor and support the development of individualized employment goals and career pathways.
  • Serve as a working leader by maintaining at least 20 hours of direct participant, employer, or school-facing services monthly while overseeing program operations and staff performance.
  • Ensure timely assignment and coordination of job coaching services to support successful employment retention and stabilization.
  • Review and approve vocational evaluation reports, employment plans, progress reports, and service documentation.
  • Monitor staff productivity, billable service delivery, and achievement of program performance goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers, referral sources, support coordinators, community partners, and funding agencies.
  • Support employer outreach efforts and expand competitive integrated employment opportunities throughout the community.
  • Collaborate with employers to identify job opportunities that align with participant interests, skills, and career goals.
  • Analyze program data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve outcomes, service quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with DOL, Medicaid, DVRS, CARF, and agency requirements, including documentation, billing, and quality assurance standards.
  • Conduct regular case reviews, chart audits, and staff supervision meetings to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Review and monitor service authorizations, billing activities, and revenue targets to maximize program performance.
  • Create, implement, and maintain workflows that promote timely service delivery, compliance, and positive employment outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing communication and updates to referral sources, families, employers, and internal leadership regarding participant progress and program performance.
  • Assist with program planning, staff training, policy implementation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, outcome data, and program updates for leadership, funders, audits, and accreditation reviews.
  • Serve as a champion for Employment First principles, empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve meaningful employment and greater independence.
  • Participate in community events, networking opportunities, staff meetings, trainings, and other activities that support program growth and mission impact.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of participants, staff, and the organization.
