Under general supervision, an employee in this class is responsible for coordinating and developing programs for the improvement of services overseen by the Health Department's Division of Community Mental Hygiene Services. The work involves interpreting state and federal regulations regarding the funding of programs serving individuals with substance use disorders, intellectual & developmental disabilities, and mental illness. The incumbent verifies that program staff and contracted agencies comply with departmental, local, state and federal policies/requirements. Responsibility is included for providing consultations and technical assistance in the identification, development, maintenance, and evaluation of community based mental hygiene programs. May supervise, and coordinate with, subordinate departmental and contract agency personnel. Work is reviewed by an administrative supervisor through conferences and reports. Does related work as required. Shift: Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 5:00PM
