About The Position

This role involves advising the Campus Activities Board (CAB) in all aspects of their operations, including meetings, retreats, budgeting, and event planning and implementation. The Coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating and executing CAB signature events like Fall Fest and TigerFest, which includes contacting entertainment agencies, negotiating contracts, and overall event coordination. Collaboration with the Campus Programming team for traditional signature programs and supporting department-wide collaborative programming to meet diverse interests are key. The position also requires supervising a Graduate Assistant and undergraduate student employees, assisting with coordinating collaborative partners for campus events, and supporting program assessments and evaluations. This role demands a flexible schedule with regular evening and weekend hours, with potential for telework after 90 days.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • One year of related experience.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions to achieve organizational goals.

  • Proficiency in Peoplesoft and campus engagement platforms.
  • Knowledge and evidence of program planning experience, specifically in inclusive excellence, belonging and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Advise the Campus Activities Board (CAB) in all operations, meetings, retreats, budgeting, and planning and implementation of CAB events.
  • Coordinate and implement CAB signature events such as Fall Fest and TigerFest, including contacting entertainment agencies, negotiating contractual agreements, and event coordination.
  • Collaborate with members of the Campus Programming team to coordinate and implement traditional signature programs.
  • Supervise a campus programming Graduate Assistant.
  • Supervise a team of campus programming undergraduate student employees in collaboration with the Graduation Assistant.
  • Support department collaborative programming that meets diverse interests and needs.
  • Assist the CAB in coordinating with collaborative partners for events including, but not limited to, Welcome to TU, Family Weekend, Homecoming, and other campus tradition events.
  • Support the Assistant Director of Campus Programming with implementing and analyzing assessments and evaluations of Student Activities programs and services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
