The Coordinator of Apprenticeship Initiatives will serve within the Division of Integrative & Applied Learning and report to the Dean of I&AL. Funded by the Smith Family’s Apprenticeship Degree Pathway Grant, this position supports Holyoke Community College’s development and implementation of apprenticeship degree programs in three identified tracks: Foundations of Health, Education, and Human Services. The Coordinator will help advance grant goals by collaborating with faculty, department chairs, deans, the grants department, the Provost, the Division of Business and Community Services, and other HCC stakeholders to build apprenticeship pathways and employer partnerships. The role includes educating campus and community partners about apprenticeship models, supporting recruitment and enrollment processes, and helping expand apprenticeship opportunities across the College. The Coordinator will also support students enrolled in apprenticeship degree programs by providing guidance, connecting them with career development resources, and helping them progress toward credential completion. This work will require strong organization, communication, and relationship-building with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and industry partners. With support from the Dean of I&AL, program coordinators and chairs, advisory boards, and Academic and Student Affairs staff, the Coordinator will engage employers, strengthen feeder relationships with high schools and community-based organizations, and promote high-quality, equitable Career-Integrated Learning opportunities for HCC students.
