About The Position

U.S. Soccer is seeking a Coordinator, Motion Graphics with strong graphic design skills to join its Creative Studio. This role will be instrumental in bringing the brand to life through animated elements across various platforms. As part of a creative team, the individual will report to the Manager, Motion Graphics and be responsible for the design and production of animated creative concepts that align with U.S. Soccer’s brand strategy and standards. The position requires an individual who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, adapt quickly to the fast-paced environment of international soccer, and creatively engage with fans to meet brand and business objectives. The role is focused on projects related to all 27 National Teams and Federation efforts to grow the sport in the U.S., aiming for creative excellence and driving the organization towards that goal.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of full-time experience in motion design at an agency or in-house creative department.
  • Strong understanding of digital media, including social media, websites, and apps.
  • A portfolio showcasing diverse creative skills in Motion Design, Typography, Data visualization/Infographics.
  • Basic understanding of creating both vector and raster graphics.
  • Ability to apply design systems across multiple assets.
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premier, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Ability to understand and follow creative direction, and incorporate feedback.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and quick turnarounds.
  • Availability to work non-traditional hours, including game days, and ability to travel for matches and events or work remotely.
  • Awareness of social media and cultural trends, and user interaction.
  • Must reside or be willing to relocate to Atlanta.
  • General knowledge of soccer.
  • Capability to work in fast-paced and demanding environments.
  • Ability to connect micro details to the macro vision and mission.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable with static design and able to execute high-quality graphic design work when needed.
  • Experience with Cinema 4D.
  • Experience with After Effects Scripting.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for creative exploration and workflow streamlining.
  • Experience with photo editing and compositing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality LED graphics for in-stadium use that embody U.S. Soccer’s brand and narrative, supporting Federation objectives.
  • Create top-tier animated elements for social media and web channels.
  • Maintain brand consistency (tone of voice, style, color, quality) by working within an established brand system.
  • Be flexible to work game days, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Innovate in design to produce exciting and engaging communications and visuals for fans and key audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal creatives, U.S. Soccer staff, and external partners to foster a cooperative process, environment, and culture of creative excellence.
  • Utilize best practices to develop resources, guidelines, and templates that ensure consistency, efficiency, and uphold high creative and brand standards across all communications.
  • Play a significant role in Digital Asset Management throughout the organization.
  • Share inspiration and best practices from design, sports, and other industries.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in cross-functional projects with teams such as Consumer Products, Media, Events, and Sporting.
  • Manage digital asset management throughout the organization.
