About The Position

Under the general direction of the Dean of Liberal Arts, plans and develops methods, procedures and practices to implement and administer the activities in the Learning Resource Center including the Tutorial Program, Electronic Classroom, Math Lab, Science Lab, and the Computer Assisted Instructional Lab.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university in one of the social sciences, business or a directly related field and four (4) years of experience in performing professional-level work involving planning, directing, budgeting, supervising and evaluating relation to coordinating a learning resource center, administering an assessment and tutorial program; or an equivalent combination of education and qualifying professional experience that would provide the knowledge and abilities needed to perform the duties of the position.
• Knowledge of, and proficiency in the operation and use of personal computers utilizing word processing, spreadsheet and database management software programs (e.g. MS Office Suite, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint.)
• Applicant must have demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college staff, faculty, and students.
