About The Position

The Training & Learning Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and maintaining enterprise-wide training programs that support safety, compliance, and skills development across SC Swiderski, LLC’s Construction, Property Management, and Corporate Operations divisions throughout the upper Midwest. This role requires a strong foundation as an HR Generalist combined with hands-on experience in instructional design, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and SCORM-compliant content development using iSpring Pro AI or similar content development tools. As the principal driver of our training and career development platform, SCS Aspire, the Training & Learning Specialist ensures training programs and learning opportunities are consistent, legally compliant, operationally relevant, and aligned with SC Swiderski’s values, safety culture, and strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Safety, or a related field, or an equivalent level of education and experience is required
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive adult education & training experience
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training programs in construction, property management, manufacturing, or a regulated environment.
  • Hands-on e xperience developing SCORM-compliant content using iSpring or similar authoring tools.
  • Experience administering HRIS or web-based Learning Management Systems r equired
  • Strong strategic planning, project management, and change management abilities
  • Ability to inspire, mentor, and lead teams with empathy and accountability.
  • Strong instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, Wisconsin DWD, and employment compliance training requirements.
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms, e-learning authoring tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated success in creating learning systems that enhance compliance, scalability, and employee engagement.
  • Must have a valid Class D driver’s license to work on our job/property sites.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, work at a computer, and occasionally travel to company sites across Wisconsin.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain safety, compliance, onboarding, and skills-based training programs for construction, property management, maintenance, and corporate staff.
  • Develop SCORM-compliant e-learning content using iSpring and publish content within the company LMS.
  • Create blended learning programs combining e-learning, instructor-led training, job aids, and on-the-job learning.
  • Create and utilize various types of still and video training media, including SCORM packages, streaming library training, and custom, in-house, created training content.
  • Standardize training curricula, learning paths, and certification requirements across departments.
  • Collaborate with human resources, safety, functional, and executive leadership to ensure training reflects regulatory requirements, SOPs, and operational realities.
  • Oversee development of company-wide learning programs, including SCS Aspire, SCS ClearView, and SCS Leadership Academy.
  • Contribute to developing and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for training and learning, across the organization.
  • Administer and maintain the LMS, including course creation, user management, reporting, and version control.
  • Assign, track and document completion of mandatory and non-mandatory training, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
  • Generate training compliance reports for leadership, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Maintain training records in accordance with OSHA, Wisconsin DWD, and internal compliance standards
  • Build systems and frameworks that transform training from a transactional to a strategic function—supporting the enterprise through clarity of purpose, building trust, aligning learning systems, and unleashing talent.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions across multiple Wisconsin locations.
  • Support onboarding and orientation programs through structured training delivery.
  • Provide train-the-trainer support to supervisors and subject-matter experts.
  • Continuously evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Champion SC Swiderski’s mission, vision, and values, promoting a culture of integrity, accountability, and inclusion.
  • Serve as cultural architect and change agent, fostering communication, engagement, and trust throughout the organization.
  • Implement mechanisms for feedback and collaboration (surveys, focus groups, manager toolkits) to drive engagement and clarity of purpose.
  • Partner with the Communications team to ensure HR policies and initiatives are transparent, accessible, and effectively communicated
  • Apply HR Generalist knowledge to ensure training aligns with employment laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Support audits, inspections, and investigations by providing accurate training documentation,
  • Stay current on federal, state, and industry training requirements affecting construction and property management.
