About The Position

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED equivalent required.
  • 1 year inventory experience preferred.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Work Monday through Friday 40 hours per week and if necessary, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to mobilize pallets and drugs totes.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to mobilize drugs totes.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing for long periods of time (4 — 8 hours), stooping, walking and ability to handle heavy case goods.
  • Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
  • Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area.
  • Maintains appropriate training and certifications.
  • Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution.
  • Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
  • Adheres to all quality guidelines.
  • Works under moderate degree of supervision.
  • Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor.
  • Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor.

Nice To Haves

  • AA degree in Business preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cost effective inventory management of pharmaceuticals, including identification and reporting of inventory requirements and economical reorders and returns of quantities to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Receive, check, and scan all orders into Central Fill inventory system.
  • Order and receive pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Daily maintenance of administrative reports to manage inventory shortages.
  • Daily maintenance of low stock items and ordering of inventory when necessary.
  • Manage stock locations and inventory placements to maximize overall script production.
  • Routine maintenance of lot codes and expiration dates.
  • Prepare various inventory reports.
  • Order and receive specialty products when necessary.
  • Effective communication with vendors and customers.
  • Back fill other inventory responsibilities when needed.
  • Ensure that the Central Fill Pharmacy customers (clients) have friendly and positive experience and that their issues and concerns are resolved timely and satisfactorily.
