About The Position

The Coordinator, International Programs plays a central role in the planning, delivery, and ongoing expansion of the Merrill Family Global Campus Experience (MFGCE), SFU Beedie’s flagship faculty-led international program. This position is responsible for coordinating the operational, logistical, and student-facing components of MFGCE, working closely with Faculty Leads, students, and international partners to ensure high-quality program delivery and a strong student experience. A key focus of the role is the continuous development and growth of MFGCE offerings, including supporting new program locations, refining program design, and enhancing pre-departure and re-entry initiatives. The role also contributes to broader global learning experiences, supporting the Office of International Programs’ efforts to expand access and participation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline.
  • Two years of related experience in coordinating the administration and delivery of custom credit and/or non-credit programs.
  • Experience in event planning, program/project management, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and deliver complex programs, including managing logistics, timelines, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, faculty, and partners.
  • Proven organizational and project management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide student advising and support, including responding to diverse needs and navigating sensitive or complex situations.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise judgment in dynamic and fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the operational, logistical, and student-facing components of the Merrill Family Global Campus Experience (MFGCE).
