On our team, you will provide stellar care at one of the top healthcare organizations in the nation. As Coordinator I, you play a critical role in the organization and management of the Volunteer Department. In this role, you will support daily operations by preparing reports, coordinating schedules, assisting with special projects and activities, and recommending team development initiatives. You will serve as the dispatcher for volunteer transport services, ensuring timely coordination of patient transportation needs. Your work directly enhances departmental workflow and efficiency, helping support high quality patient care and a positive experience for patients, caregivers, and visitors. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working shifts varying between 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. with weekend requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate department project activities.
  • Develop department resource databases to facilitate management of various project activities.
  • Coordinate department scheduling of individuals, resources and activities.
  • Coordinate administrative activities for the department (e.g., coordinating resources, timing and activities).
  • Manage department schedule for key activities.
  • Ensure that administrative support is provided as needed.
  • Participate in project teams and build competency around specific department tools and methods for organizational performance improvement.
  • Maintain data, develop databases and complete analysis.
  • Provide reports and prepare charts, presentations or summary data.
  • Serve as the dispatcher for volunteer transport services, ensuring timely coordination of patient transportation needs.
